“Reconciliation, Integration, and Building Unity from Division”

The NYU Dentistry Global Health Care Leaders program is a unique professional development visiting experience based out of the College’s Center for Oral Health Policy and Management, as part of their mission to cultivate adaptive leaders who are prepared to perform in uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environments in the future. A group of DDS students in the Class of 2027 will be selected for the opportunity to travel to the NYU Global Academic Center in Berlin, Germany and explore one of history’s most complex reconciliation processes—the reunification of East and West Germany after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Students will examine how leaders navigated the integration of two fundamentally different political, economic, and social systems into one nation, with direct applications to healthcare leadership challenges.

I understand that I must meet certain qualifications to be eligible for admission to the NYU Dentistry Global Health Care Leaders program in Florence, Italy from November 6th-9th, 2025, including that I: must be in good academic standing, have no course failures or remediation, and have not been found responsible for violations of the NYU Dentistry Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
